Pre College Music Technology Studio

The Georgia Tech Music Recording and Mixing Camp is designed for students entering grades 9-12 to explore and enhance their understanding of the world of Studio Recording. Each camper will develop skill sets in music recording, mixing and sequencing. They will also learn real life studio experiences from professional engineers and producers. In addition, students will be exposed to a variety of other Music Technology modules including Machine Listening, Performance Technologies and Music Information Retrieval.

Topics include: recording a band, microphone techniques, signal processing, MIDI sequencing, sound design, music for film, live sound reinforcement, and interactive music coding.

Students will have access to their projects for inclusion in their own portfolio.
