Approximately 20 graduate students are enrolled in the School of Music, and roughly 1,200 Tech students enroll in music courses or participate in performance ensembles every semester. Faculty in the School of Music (seven full time and four part time) are particularly engaged with student life and Atlanta’s vibrant arts community, including outreach and performance partnerships with the Woodruff Arts Center, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Public Schools.
Auditions for Marching Band are held during band camp (the week before fall semester classes begin). Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble auditions are held during the first week of classes.
In addition to the many ensembles at Georgia Tech, there are student organizations
that support School of Music activities. These organizations include:
- The Georgia Tech Choirs
- The Georgia Tech Symphony Orchestra
- The Georgia Tech Band Club
- Kappa Kappa Psi - Iota
- Tau Beta Sigma - Epsilon Theta
- Pi Epsilon Phi
